ICED COFFEE

You’ll need the following:

  • Scale
  • Kettle
  • Kalita wave and filters (or your choice of brewing equipment)
  • Ice
  • 25 grams medium to coarse ground Sincerely Coffee
  • 150 grams hot water (195-205 degrees)
  • 150 grams chilled water

Step one: brew your coffee using 25g coffee to 150g hot water. Take your time. Your goal should be to cover all the grounds with hot water and finish pouring 150g in 2:00-2:30 minutes. Pour slow and steady in circles and pause occasionally to allow water to drain slightly. If it drains too quickly try a slightly finer grind size.

Step two: Once you have your brewed hot coffee add 150g chilled water to brew. Stir or swirl together. 

Step three: Pour over ice and enjoy!

Ultimately the goal is to brew your coffee strong without drastically altering the temperature between hot and cold. This is why we suggest combining chilled water to your hot coffee before then pouring over ice. We find this prevents off flavors and delivers a clean yet flavorful cup.
